On 2 October 2026, Christians from different Churches, denominations, Christian organisations and institutions gathered at the Diocesan Community Centre (DCC) Hall, Gole Dak Khana, New Delhi, for Pray for India 2026, an ecumenical prayer gathering organised by the Delhi Christian Pastors’ Fellowship. Centred on the theme “Bless India,” this special gathering united approximately 700 participants in prayer, worship, reflection and fellowship, seeking God's blessings upon our beloved nation and its people. Together, We Prayed for India The gathering offered special prayers for: - Peace, national unity and religious harmony - Reconciliation among communities, Churches and families - Justice, good governance and integrity in leadership - The dignity, safety and empowerment of women and girls - Children, families, the poor and the marginalised - The protection and care of God's creation - The Church's unity and its mission to serve society - Peace among nations and an end to war and violence The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and an inaugural address by Archbishop Anil J. T. Couto, who invited Christians to become credible witnesses of Christ through love, unity, service and action. The gathering was enriched by Bible readings, spiritual reflections, prayer dances, instrumental music, choirs, skits and cultural performances representing the richness and diversity of our Christian communities. Representatives from different Christian traditions came together with one shared purpose: to pray for India, promote peace and reconciliation, and renew their commitment to serving the nation and its people. “Bless India” is more than a theme—it is a call to prayer, unity and action. May God bless India with peace, justice, harmony, compassion and hope. May we learn to rise above our differences and work together for a nation where every person is treated with dignity and love. What happened when the Tabernacle was finally completed, and God's glory filled it? In Exodus Chapter 40, we witness the completion and setting up of the Tabernacle, the sacred dwelling place prepared according to God's instructions. Moses carefully assembles the Tabernacle, places the sacred objects in their appointed positions, and consecrates everything for worship. Aaron and his sons are also prepared for their priestly ministry. The most remarkable moment comes when the cloud covers the Tent of Meeting and the glory of the LORD fills the Tabernacle. God's presence becomes a visible guide for the Israelites as they journey through the wilderness. Whenever the cloud lifts, they set out; whenever it remains, they stay where they are. In Exodus Chapter 40, we discover: - The final setting up of the Tabernacle - The arrangement of the Ark of the Covenant and other sacred objects - The consecration of the Tabernacle and its furnishings - The anointing of Aaron and his sons for priestly service - The cloud covering the Tent of Meeting - The glory of the LORD filling the Tabernacle - God's presence guiding the Israelites throughout their journey Spiritual Message Exodus 40 teaches us that God desires to dwell among His people and guide them on their journey. The Israelites learned to move when God led them and to wait when His presence remained. Their journey reminds us to trust God's timing, follow His direction, and make room for His presence in our lives.
